The desire to succeed, not fear of failure, is the driving force for AssistGuide CEO and president, Kevin Sypniewski.
He said quitting was never an option, citing the difficulties his company, a long-term care service provider, went through during its conceptualization.
But despite the rough currents, long-term care is staring at a bright future.
Sypniewski said baby boomers were viewed as the growth factor in the industry where 76-78 million people possibly needing long-term care and disability assistance eventually.
"Right now most of us baby boomers are getting that glimpse of what it is like by going through it with our parents," Sypniewski said.
As an entrepreneur, he advises individuals who want to put up their own business to have a clear idea of what they want to do and look beyond making money.
"Go do it but make sure you have a passion for it and make sure it's adding value beyond the dollar, like a social mission, something that makes a difference," he said. "We don't need more stuff, we need more good."
